MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The fight for Bibb County Board of Education District Four is over.

Republican candidate Lester Miller wins the seat with more than 65 hundred votes. He opponent democrat Dominque Johnson only had 45 hundred votes.

Miller says it has been an exhausting campaign season but all the hard work has been worth it and he can't wait to join the board in Januiary.

"I would bring some stability to this board. We have three new members that are coming on to the board and I think I can bring a lot," Miller said. "Safety and discipline is my number one priority to start with and I want to take a real good look at that budget and hopefully work with the other members to get back on track."

Miller will replace Susan Middleton, the current district four member of the BOE.
