Georgia's secretary of state has certified the
results of the Nov. 30 election run-off.
Brian Kemp announced Tuesday that he has received results from
all 159 counties. The tallies confirm results in seven races,
including seats on the state Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Tuesday's certified results show Georgia Supreme Court Justice
David Nahmias was re-elected with 67 percent of the vote. And
attorney Chris McFadden pulled off a come-from-behind to snag 62
percent of the vote for the appeals court.
The certification means the time period begins for candidates to
file requests for a recount.
