Jeffersonville Woman Dies from Heat

Twiggs County officials say a Jeffersonville woman has died from complications related to excessive heat.  Coroner Harold Reece says Tammy Basley died Monday at her home, after sitting on her un-shaded porch around noon.

Reece says Basley had a cardiac event. 

Her son found her body around 4:30pm yesterday.
