"Under One Roof" Conference Brings Awareness to Healthier Homes

Top health and environmental leaders are working to improve Middle Georgia households so communities can be healthier, safer, and wealthier. They gathered at Fort Valley State University, Thursday, for its seventh annual Under One Roof housing conference.

During the conference, environmental health and housing agencies attended sessions about recycling, poisons in the home, affordable energy and smoking dangers. Organizers say, now groups need to share what they've learned with the public.

This is the seventh year for the Under One Roof" housing conference. Organizers say each year the event has more agencies participate. And that helps the brain-storming and problem-solving process.
