A spokeswoman for Michael Jackson's doctor says he will surrender Friday whether he's been charged in the singer's death or not.

Spokeswoman Miranda Sevcik said Thursday that Dr. Conrad Murray planned to surrender at a Los Angeles courthouse at 1:30p.m. on Friday. If he's not charged, he would return to Houston, where he has a practice.

Sevcik says Murray and his lawyers are fed up with waiting for the district attorney's office to make its move. She says the
doctor is expecting to be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the singer's death and has been ready since Tuesday to surrender to authorities.

The district attorney's office has not said if it will charge Murray.
