Morning Shooting Sends Macon Woman to the Hospital

A woman is sent to the hospital for surgery after being shot by her boyfriend. It happened just after 2 a.m., Tuesday, at a home on Worsham Avenue. According to Macon Police, the couple was arguing, and that's when 82-year-old Henry McCoy shot 48-year-old Pamela Gunnels with a small caliber handgun. Gunnels was shot in her arm and in her side. Neighbors say they are used to the couple fighting, but this time things got out of hand. Henry McCoy is charged with aggravated assault.
