The firing of Warner Robins City Clerk Stan Martin may be a private, city personnel matter, but he's bringing it before the public. Martin was fired last month after entering the late Mayor Donald Walker's office, after business hours. Martin addressed Warner Robins city council Monday night. He is defending his actions before the new city mayor and council, saying he did nothing illegal.

It didn't violate any criminal laws,” said Martin. “It didn't violate any rules in place. It didn't hurt anyone. It wasn't intended to hurt anyone or violate anyone's privacy. We did not try to break into the mayor's office. That's completely false.”

Since the incident, the situation was brought before a grand jury last month. Martin was cleared of any crime.
