Major league baseball fans had the chance to meet several players from the Atlanta Braves Monday, in Macon.

Five players, along with the team's coach and Assistant GM, signed autographs at the Academy Sports and Outdoors store on Eisenhower Parkway.  The signing was one of more than 25 stops on the 2010 community caravan, which travels all over the southeast through February 11th.

Catcher David Ross tells 41 NBC News, "The fans are just excited to meet us. They haven't really said much about this upcoming season.  They've wished us a lot of luck, and they're just happy that we've come out, and we were able to sign some autographs. It's just as rewarding for us as it is for them. We enjoy this time of year."

In addition to the meet and greet, players also encouraged fans to donate to the Haiti relief fund through the American Red Cross.
