DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- The Northeast meets the South at Brian's Giant Submarine Sandwiches in Dublin.
"They tease me all the time about still being a Yankee, but they're stuck with me because I'm not going back," said owner Brian Keith.
Keith left the Jersey Shore for the Emerald City and started serving Middle Georgians more than two decades ago.
Regular customer Jerry McMiller said, "They know what I want because I come here so much."
Others also said Brian's sandwiches are the best in town. The deli-style shop makes everything from super subs to hot subs to something they call the Brian's Special.
"The bread is baked fresh every morning, the sandwiches are good value, everything is sliced fresh which makes a big difference in terms of the quality of food," said Jim Caldwell.
The signature sandwich comes loaded with five different cold-cuts. The first layer of the popular sub is Provolone cheese, followed by a layer of boiled ham, Prosciuttine, capicola, salami and pepperoni. Customers can choose between white or wheat bread and pick any toppings they like.
Brian's Special may be number 10 on the menu, but regulars claim it's number 1 in their hearts.
Brian's Giant Submarine Sandwiches is located at 1632 Veterans Blvd # A Dublin, GA 31021.
