MACON, Georgia (41 NBC/WMGT) - It's Friday, you're getting ready for the weekend, you need something fun to watch in the morning. Enter Melissa and I.
Saturday is International Cherry Pit Spitting Contest day (who comes up with these names?). So I challenged Melissa to a contest on live T.V., to see who can spit their pit the furthest, and with the most accuracy.
What a great way to kill two minutes of T.V. time.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- The family recipes at Peter's Place have been passed down for generations. About 3 years ago, those recipes were brought to the Emerald City.
Customer Stephen Svonavec says, "And that's one of the things in small town Georgia you don't usually get a lot of variety so this is a nice alternative."
Husband and wife, Peter and Maris Pastore both love to cook and make almost everything by hand. The Pastore's pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients. Customers agree you can't beat the taste.
"The chicken parm, the pizza, and the lasagna are my three favorites. It's presented well, the sauce, the flavoring, everything put together just makes it an outstanding dish," claims Svonavec.
The list of menu items at Peter's Place is endless. Peter says one of the easiest signature meals to make is the chicken parmigiana.
"We usually get an 8 to 10 oz. chicken, we tenderize it, after we tenderize it, we put it into flour and from flour we put it into eggs, mixed with cream, then we put it in breadcrumbs, and deep fry it," says Peter.
Peter's Place is located at 1625 Veterans Boulevard in Dublin.
