Undy 5000: Run in Underwear and Fight Colon Cancer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- The Undy 5000 5K is coming to Macon for the first time. Members of Coliseum's Cancer Institute want to help in the fight against colon cancer by "brushing the town blue" during Colon Cancer Awareness Month.

Participants in the run/walk are encouraged to run in their underwear as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the area affected by the disease. Oncology Nurse Navigator Beverly Stanley stopped by Daybreak to answer questions about colon cancer and the upcoming event.
