JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) --Crispy, well-seasoned, and just like 'how mom used to make it,' is how customers at Robinson's Fried Chicken in Jeffersonville describe the popular menu item.
"It's almost like my mother's, that's what makes it so good," according to Nikki Mims who frequents the restaurant at least three times a week.
Robinson's has been in business for 23 years, this year will make it 24 with a new location. The fried chicken recipe comes from owner, Geraldine Thomas.
She says, "Even when I was at home I always liked to stay in the kitchen. I used to see how my mother cooked her chicken so I began to want to cook the same chicken that she cooked."
The recipe calls for flour, salt, pepper, and milk.
Regular customer Kenard Gay says, "It's fried the home style way and not that way everybody else tries to fry it."
Megan Dees adds, "You can't find fried chicken like that around here."
Robinson's Fried Chicken is located at 13748 Highway 80 in Jeffersonville.
