Close to 20 years ago, Tammy Anderson put her job in the medical field on hold to pursue her real passion, food.
"It's been my love my entire life. I've always liked to do it. It's a great way to express yourself," says Tammy.
She attended the Culinary Institute of America and eventually opened Anderson's Bakery and Catering in her backyard located in Kathleen.
"I decided to go ahead and start a catering business because I thought it was a great way to not be so conformed to a particular menu," says Tammy.
She is professionally trained chef with a commercial kitchen on-site. Tammy recalls studying French and Italian classics and eventually moved on to explore Asian and Indian cuisines.
Now her life-long love, is her full-time job.
"The health inspector comes right out here and inspects, so everything is completely 100% legitimate," says Tammy.
Tammy says her clients become friends and she takes it very personally.
She smiles as she says, "It's nice having people home for dinner."
