Bibb County schools unveiled the design for the class of 2013 graduation pin.

Of the 20 designs submitted, Brahndi Rozier's, a ninth-grader at Central High School was selected as the winning logo.

All 2300 Bibb county ninth graders will receive a graduation pin in committment ceremonies beginning next month.

This is the third year the school district has partnered with the Macon Chamber of commerce to give out the pins as a symbol of the community's support for education.

Dr. Doris Christopher is heading up the project as the Vice Chair of Education for the Chamber of Commerce in Macon.

"When they receive that pin, they are saying: you know what, I'm making this committment. I am making the committment to say I'm going to graduate with my class or 2013," said Christopher.

The 1st place winner received $75 dollars.  Kevin Francis of Westside High took home 2nd place and a $50 dollar prize.  The 3rd place winner, Shirley Murphy of Rutland High won $25 dollars for her design.
