Airlines Raising Domestic Fares Again

DALLAS - Major U.S. airlines are raising prices again.
     
American Airlines raised fares on flights within the 48
contiguous states by $10 per round trip, spokesman Tim Smith
confirmed on Thursday.
     
United, Continental and US Airways matched the increase and
Delta boosted fares even higher - up between $10 and $20 per round
trip - according to Rick Seaney, CEO of FareCompare.com. Airlines
say they need higher fares to cover rising jet fuel prices.
