Melissa Lee joined the 41 NBC news team in October 2010. She comes to Macon from Tampa, Florida and is excited to be in Georgia.
Melissa graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, focusing in Telecommunications News. Prior to her career in news, Melissa spent nearly two years working in clinical research staffing.
While in college, she was a Reporter, Anchor, and Producer for her University's news program, Florida Focus. Melissa worked as a one-man-band reporter for Palestra.net, covering campus-wide issues and college sporting events. She also gained valuable experience while interning for WFLA and The Tampa Tribune in her hometown.
Melissa is a proud USF and Delta Gamma alumna. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Big East basketball, cooking, hot yoga, discovering new music and being on the water. Melissa misses her friends and family in the Sunshine State, but is thrilled to be working in Middle Georgia.
