KARACHI, Pakistan - Police say at least seven people have been killed in an explosion inside an illegal gambling den in Pakistan's largest city.
The motive for the attack late Thursday in Karachi was not known, although criminal and Islamist violence is quite common in the city of 16 million.
Police officer Irshad Sehar says 30 people were wounded in the blast. He says it was not immediately clear whether the bomb was planted or thrown.
He says scores of people were inside the club playing cards and other gambling games.
