The Mercer University Medical Mission Team has returned from Haiti.  A group of Medical students led a team to the third world country to help at a mobile medical clinic, and they're already planning a return trip.  This morning on Daybreak, trip leader Amy Mason was here to share some of her experiences about the trip.

The Medical Mission Team scheduled their trip to Haiti before the earthquake.  Once the disaster struck, Mason said that was the fuel that lit the fire and made plans a reality.

Mason says her trip to Haiti was more than she expected.  Her team spent their time helping people with day to day medical needs and saw cases as serious as AIDS/HIV.  She says people walked miles to be treated.

Mason encourages people thinking about making a trip to volunteer in Haiti to go for it.  She says the need is still there and it’s not going anywhere.
