Brandon moved to Middle Georgia from Tennessee after working at WPTY/WLMT-TV in Memphis and WBIR-TV in Knoxville. He graduated from The University of Tennessee and studied television news and political science. He has been active in a number of professional and community organizations, including the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), Alpha Epsilon Rho (Broadcasting Honor Society), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Brooke Martin's picture
Brooke Martin is thrilled to call Middle Georgia her new home as a member of the 41 NBC news team. Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Brooke's days in the country ended when she moved to center city Philadelphia to attend Temple University. At Temple, Brooke pursued her passion for the media by majoring in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media, with a minor in Political Science. A broadcasting career is a perfect fit for Brooke because she is committed to touching the lives of others in a meaningful way. That's why she interrupted her university studies for a year and moved to Mazatlan, Mexico where she worked with Youth With A Mission, a Christian missions organization. After returning to the United States, Brooke resumed her studies and honed her skills at WGAL-TV in Lancaster and KTVU-TV in San Francisco. This is her first time living in the South, and Brooke is enthusiastic about Middle Georgia and its friendly people. When Brooke isn't working, she enjoys playing tennis, going to flea markets, and watching movies.

Coreen Savitski's picture
Coreen Savitski has been with 41 NBC since September 2007. She feels lucky to call such a kind and warm community her new home! As a Rockford, Illinois native, Coreen knew she had a passion for television news even at a young age. She pursued her goals while attending Columbia College Chicago as a Broadcast/Journalism student. Coreen gained a great deal of her experience while reporting for college and local level stations. She's covered topics ranging from state elections to baseball games. Coreen interned in London at CNBC Europe and was employed as a production assistant at FOX Chicago-WFLD Coreen says her favorite part about being a reporter is that there's always someone to talk to. She believes everyone has a story to tell. When Coreen isn't working, you can find her with her Yorkie "Holly" or enjoying the outdoors. The beautiful Georgia weather makes Coreen not miss Illinois snow storms! Check out Coreen's blog at the top of the page. Gabe Dalusky's picture
Gabe Dalusky joined the 41 NBC news team in April 2008 as a General Assignment Reporter. After working as an Anchor/Reporter for WNVN-TV in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, he is thrilled to be back in his home state. A native of Atlanta, Gabe interned at WSB-TV, CNN, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, all in his hometown. He is an active member of the Atlanta Press Club, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ southeast chapter, as well as the Society of Professional Journalists. A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Gabe holds a B.S. degree in Communication with a concentration in Media Studies. After graduation from KSU, he trained as a General Assignment Reporter right here in Macon through the Gannett Talent Development Program. When he is not working, Gabe enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends in Atlanta.

Liz Foster's picture
Liz Foster is excited to join the 41 NBC news team! After growing up all over the South, she feels blessed to begin her broadcasting career in her home state. Liz realized her passion for news broadcasting at a young age, taping her own news shows on her family's video camera! Broadcasting fits Liz's personality perfectly, as she never meets a stranger and is a natural story-teller. Liz pursued her goals by earning a degree in Communication Arts with a major in Broadcasting at Georgia Southern University. She then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to intern at WBTV where she gained valuable news experience learning from great reporters. While at GSU, Liz was involved in many student organizations and loved holding leadership positions, especially in Zeta Tau Alpha. She hopes to get involved in community organizations here in Macon. Away from the cameras and the newsroom, Liz enjoys spending time with family and friends in Atlanta, playing with her Yorkie Bella, cooking, traveling and watching Braves baseball and Georgia & Georgia Southern football. Liz appreciates hearing from viewers and welcomes anyone to email with a story idea or just to say hello!

Rachel Schaerr's picture
Rachel Schaerr grew up in Rockville, Maryland with her six brothers and sisters. Her career began years ago when she anchored her high school’s newscast. Rachel is thrilled to be chasing her dreams and is privileged to be reporting for the 41 NBC news team. Georgia has treated her well so far; she loves the delicious southern food. Rachel graduated magna cum laude from Barry University in Miami, Florida where she majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in professional writing. While studying abroad in Thailand, Rachel was able to put her passion for journalism to work. She produced, directed, wrote and edited a documentary about Thai culture. The experience taught her a lot about a journalist's ability to delve into different lifestyles and cultures. Rachel's proudest moment came in college when she was recognized for her journalistic achievement and awarded the Ann Bishop Memorial Scholarship. While at Barry, Rachel interned with the Special Projects Unit at the CBS affiliate (WFOR) in Miami and worked as a producer for WPLG, the ABC station in Miami. When she's not at the station, Rachel enjoys volunteering at church, keeping in touch with family and friends, reading new novels, and working out. Shelby Coates's picture
Shelby Coates joined the 41 NBC news team in January 2009, and she is proud to make Middle Georgia her home. Originally from Clarksville, Tennessee, Shelby attended school at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication, with a minor in sociology. While attending Abilene Christian, Shelby worked as an anchor/ reporter for her college news station and a writer for her college paper and website. She also worked as a news assistant with KTXS-TV in Abilene. After graduation, Shelby began her professional career at KRBC-TV in Abilene as the Weekend Anchor/ Education Reporter. Now Shelby has made her way to serve the Macon community as a General Assignments Reporter. Shelby always had a passion for news and the way it can inform and bring about change. She is happy to be doing what she loves right here in Middle Georgia. In her free time, Shelby enjoys being outdoors, shopping, hanging out with friends and staying involved with community organizations and her local church, Houston Avenue Church of Christ. Chief Meteorologist


Brian Fowler's picture
Brian brings to Middle Georgia many years of weather experience ranging from places like Dallas, TX., to Columbus, MS. His interest in weather began in junior high back in North Texas. "I had to interview a local weatherman for a school project, and that stirred my interest. In high school I toured a local tv station and was totally hooked after that." He then began broadcasting time, temp, and wind for the NWS in Fort Worth several evenings a week after school, and learning some basic forecasting. Brian went on to peruse his degree in Meteorology at Mississippi State University. Brian has a Bachelor's Degree in GeoSciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology from MSU. Go Bulldogs!! After college Brian began his tv career doing weather and sometimes co-hosting entertainment segments on Texas Cable News and WFAA-TV in Dallas. Brian has even hosted a cooking segment with Bobby Flay, cooking burgers on the grill! When Brian isn't delivering pinpoint accurate forecasts to the good people of Middle Georgia, he's spending time with the three most beautiful women in the world....his wife Sheila and their two wonderful daughters Brookelyne and Julianna.

Michael Estimé handles morning Daybreak weather duties and is thrilled to be apart of the 41 NBC Weather Team. Michael is a graduate of Central Michigan University and earned degrees in Meteorology and Mathematics. Michael's love and passion for the weather began in elementary school and has snowballed into a career. While in college, Michael worked as a Weathercaster for News Central 34 - CMU's on-campus television station. He was also actively involved in the Emma L. Bowen Foundation and was awarded a 5-year internship with CBS Detroit. Having interned at The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Michael is no stranger to Georgia's Sunny and sometimes Stormy weather. Michael is a member of the National Weather Association & the American Meteorological Society. In his spare time, Michael enjoys volunteering in the community, playing the clarinet, and spending time with family and friends.
