Law enforcement agencies started a five day search at the Wolf Creek Landfill in Twiggs County, searching for clues in the homicide investigation of Mercer Law grad, Lauren Giddings.

20 FBI agents, representatives with the Macon Police department, and contractors were on the scene beginning at 7 this morning digging at the side of the hill.

Giddings’ torso was found in a trash bin outside of her Georgia Avenue apartment on the 30th.

Giddings neighbor, Stephen McDaniel, is charged with her murder.
The case will head to a grand jury.

The 27-year old was last seen alive Saturday, June 25th.
